Roots & Wings Training of Facilitators - Lake City
Event Description:
Fact Forward provides a 4-hour training of facilitators to both equip community partners with necessary skills to effectively reach parents as well as prepare them to facilitate a 2-hour Roots & Wings workshop with parents. The goal of the Roots & Wings workshop is to help parents have more open, honest conversation with their children and teens about tough topics.
Objectives:
As a result of participating in this training, participants will be able to:
- Recall two new learning strategies for involving parents in sexuality education.
- Develop an action plan for involving parents in sexuality education.
- Plan a full implementation of the Roots & Wings workshop.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours before the date of the training. No-shows forfeit registration costs.
Inclement Weather Policy: Fact Forward follows the City of Columbia for weather closings. We monitor and adjust as necessary. We make all efforts to connect with registrants via email to advise of office closing and delayed starts. In case of cancellation of training due to weather, we will refund registration fees and make all efforts to reschedule in a timely manner.
