emPOWERing KINGS Mentor Training provides the tools needed to educate and inspire youth in conjunction with the KINGS mentoring guide. This multi-session mentoring program is designed to prioritize the sexual and reproductive health education of Black high school and college-aged young men in addition to their personal and social responsibilities. Mentors will learn best practices to guide a conversation about physical, emotional, and social maturation that is meant to empower young Black men towards generational success. Mentors will also learn how to create safe spaces dedicated to the societal pressures that young Black men face. Through open discussion, pop culture references, and interpersonal reflections, this mentorship training will have participants walk away knowing what promotes healthy behavior and relationship building.
This is a grant supported training for community members through our Tier 2 project.
Registration deadline: September 7, 2022.
